Accessibility Statement

Our commitment
People usually reach this site at one of the worst moments of their week, often late at night, often on a phone, often in a hurry. It needs to work for everyone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA and we treat accessibility as part of building the site rather than something added at the end.
What we build for
- Text and background combinations chosen for contrast, including on the dark blue panels
- Pages that can be operated with a keyboard alone, with focus kept visible
- Headings, landmarks, and link text written so a screen reader can move through a page quickly
- Alternative text on images that carry meaning, with decorative images hidden from assistive technology
- Text that resizes without breaking the layout, and full content in both English and Spanish
- Accordions, menus, and the cookie notice built so they are announced and dismissed properly
Where we know there are gaps
This is an ongoing effort rather than a finished certification, and we have not had an independent audit. Two parts of the site are outside our direct control:
- The Google Maps embedded on the location pages. Every office page also lists its full address and phone number as plain text, so you never need the map to get what it shows.
- The online bail portal, which is run by our bail software provider on a separate website.
If either one blocks you, call us and a person will complete the same task with you by phone, at no disadvantage and no extra cost.
If something does not work for you
Tell us and we will fix it. Email info@cowboybail.com with the page and what happened, or call 214-741-7600 at any hour, any day. We aim to respond within three business days. While a fix is in progress we will always give you another way to do the same thing, by phone or in person at any of our offices in Dallas, DeSoto, Irving, Garland, or Mesquite.
