Woman Calls 911 for Help Ordering Chinese Food Article

Maybe she needed help pronouncing Kung Pao Chicken or needed someone to explain the difference between lo mein and chow mein noodles.  Whatever the real reason, Elizabeth Niemi considered it an emergency and called 911 for help to order her Chinese food.

When Hooksett police arrived, they expected the 57-year-old woman to be needing emergency medical attention.  Instead, Niemi explained that all she needed was assistance in ordering her meal.

After an investigation the police arrested Niemi and charged with misuse of emergency-911.  She was released on $5,000 bail and is scheduled to be back in court in April.

If she only stuck to ordering a simple cheese pizza, maybe she would not be in this predicament.
