Woman Assaults Two People with Squirt Gun Article

A woman is accused of entering a residence and assaulting two people with a squirt gun.

One afternoon in Minnesota, a lady resident opened the door when the doorbell rang and found a woman dressed in all black, complete with a black baseball cap and black furry mask.

The woman in black then sprayed the homeowner’s face with a squirt gun filled with a solution made of water, jalapenos, red peppers and salt; essentially a low grade pepper spray.

The lady called her husband for help. When her husband came downstairs the woman walked through the door and sprayed him in the face as well. The husband still managed to wrestle her down to a bench and restrained her until cops arrived.

The solution got into the couple’s eyes which caused some swelling.

The suspect, who was later identified as 31-year-old Renee Lynn Memije, has been charged with first-degree burglary/assault, third-degree assault and fifth-degree assault. A bail is set at a $35,000 surety bond or $3,500 cash.

The judge also ordered to conduct a psychological evaluation. Should Memije post bail, the judge imposed the following release conditions:

no consumption or possession of alcohol or mood-altering drugs;

must report changes in address to court officials;

cannot enter an establishment serving alcohol;

may not leave the state without permission from the court;

remain in contact with her attorney;

no direct or indirect contact with the alleged victims;

and she cannot possess firearms or weapons.
